Refill Reminder Activities

This topic is part of the Refill Reminder section and is intended for independent pharmacies only. This topic is not applicable to Rexall pharmacies.

Refill Reminder activities can be scheduled for prescriptions a specified number of days before a prescription's days supply is complete.

These activities are used as a reminder to contact a patient about Refilling their prescription and can have the prescription Refilled directly from the activity, if required.

Refill Reminder activities are not completed for the following:

  • Narcotic prescriptions

  • Oral contraceptives

  • prescriptions for medications with difficult to determine days supply (e.g., inhalers or creams)

  • Compliance Pack prescriptions

  • Inactive, Discontinued or Suspended prescriptions

  • non-retail patients or prescriptions

  • Patients who are Deceased, Inactive, Obsolete or Hospitalized (as set in the Patient Folder Status field)

If your pharmacy or the patient are set to perform Refill Reminders via IVR or another method (e.g., Amjay), Refill Reminder activities will not be scheduled.
